Robo-CATastrophe III

We traveled to New Jersey on November 24 to compete in our first tournament of the season at the Robo-CATastrophe III Qualifying Tournament. Our experience last year at Robo-CATastrophe II was so much fun, and we were lucky enough to be invited again. This year’s tournament grew to 36 teams!

Jack the Gripper was debuted, and after a rough start we ended up having a great day on field, finishing in 11th place. This was amazing since Jack had only become fully operational less than 24 hours before the start of the tournament. We were also very excited to win the Connect Award! We got a lot of ideas for Jack the Gripper 2.0.

Thanks to the host teams at Columbia High School in Maplewood, NJ and NJ FTC for running a great tournament.
