For the past three weeks (in one week intervals), three members ran a robotics hour at Southeast Culture Camp. We taught our 8 students how to work the LEGO Mindstorms system through building and programming.
Last year we focused purely on line-following using the light sensor. The greatest difficulty was changing light conditions inside the building, but this only helped our campers realize the environmental difficulties engineers must overcome. This year, we had 3 students return, for them, we focused on the ultrasonic sensor and navigating a maze.
It was a great success, and I hope all of our students enjoyed themselves because I know the Bionic Gaels had a great time!
